Okay, so this isn’t that new, it’s been on soundcloud for a while, but I was checking out some names I didn’t recognise on the Brownswood Bubblers 10 tracklisting and I came across Werkha of Manchester, England. So here’s some pretty fresh sax-fueled future garage sounds. Nice.

New and, as yet, unreleased chilled vibes from Shawhin Izaddoost, aka VVV, of Austin, TX. Some serious Burial-esque down-tempo garage sounds if you like that sort of thing…
Jackson and his Computer Band – ‘Arp #1’
New from Warp Records… Jackson and his Computer Band presents ‘Arp #1’ ahead of the release of new album Glow on September 2nd 2013 – Jackson’s first album release in 8 years. The music as described by Jackson himself: “a game of musical obsessions and rageous pleasures. I’ve made it driven by feverish moments of revelation and sharing them with my friends”.
Nuages – ‘Stay’
Nuages just dropped this soulful chilled-out electronic track. Dreamy vocals with subtle drops and a nice groove make for fine summer listening… Some Lapalux and Burial vibes going on… Go check some other tracks on soundcloud… they’re also pretty sweet!
PAPA – ‘Young Rut’
These two L.A. lads are making some stadium-esque pop-rock goodness for our ears. PAPA play White Heat Club on August 21st at Madame JoJo’s.
Ballet School – ‘Heartbeat Overdrive’
Ballet School are a Berlin-based trio whose first single, ‘Heartbeat Overdrive’, is released on Bella Union on August 19th. Echoing all things great about 80s pop, yet simultaneously maintaining a Sonic Youth-esque influenced undertone. For fans of lush guitars and distinctive vocals. Astral Pattern – ‘Faraway’
Astral Pattern, recently arisen from the ashes of former band S.C.U.M., in early 2013. Occasional glimmers of Kraftwerk influence combined with the dreamy vocals of Melissa makes for an interesting, synth heavy, listen. The above track is taken from their EP entitled Light Poems is released this week via 37 Adventures. Go get it here on vinyl, and here digitally. Throwing Shade – ‘Daydream’
London-based DJ / producer / barrister Throwing Shade makes unique sounding minimal and chilled out electronic music which is at times rather ethereal. As well as making music, the DJ/broadcasting skills of Miss Shade are called into action when her monthly NTS Radio show airs… Have a listen for some interesting and diverse music from around the world.

Today in Perth, West-coast Australia, Scenic release the first single from their forthcoming sophomore EP on Sydney-based label Future Classic. Blending disco beats and dreamy electro-pop, this quartet of teenagers have created a hip, yet beautiful, summer sound. Releasing this track via a label who “highly endorse dancing” is rather apt, as, if I weren’t sitting down writing this right now, I’d probably be dancing.
